Ahmed Davut Atik Attorney
Mr. Atik is a fifth-year attorney licensed in the State of Texas and our resident partner in John Onal & Associates PC’s Houston office.
Mr. Atik has received his J.D. from the University of Houston and earned dual Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. A proud alumnus of Harmony Science Academy—Houston, Mr. Atik is uniquely situated to anticipate and understand the needs of his charter school and nonprofit clients.
Mr. Atik focuses his practice in real estate and business transactions and uses his experience in commercial litigation to cater his contracts to prevent future legal disputes. He has provided and continues to provide extensive services to public and private, for-profit and non-profit clients in commercial transactions, vendor agreements, real estate purchases, sales, and leases, related financing documents, and corporate governance matters. Mr. Atik also relies on his technical background to provide intellectual property counseling and licensing services to his clients.
Before starting our Houston office, Mr. Atik worked at The Law Office of Juan Antonio Lozada, PLLC in Austin, Texas, where he served as the second chair in various commercial litigation matters and represented clients before the asylum office and immigration court, in addition to continuing his transactional practice in real estate, business, and trademarks.
Prior to his time in Austin, Mr. Atik worked as an attorney for three years at the San Antonio, Texas office of Schulman, Lopez, Hoffer & Adelstein, LLP, serving a multitude of public and private clients, including various charter schools and charter school systems.
Mr. Atik is a USPTO-registered patent attorney and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
